Recensione | Kelly Rowland "Forever and a day (Antoine Clamaran remix)"

Sono rimasto stupito da questa hit di Kelly Rowland. Certo dopo canzoni come "When love takes over" si intuiva bene la direzione della cantante ma il duetto con Eve "Like this" ha riportato la Rowland su altri binari. Ecco possiamo unire le due cose, la musica dance del primo singolo citato e la rinnovata immagine sexy del secondo.

"Forever and a day" (ascolta l'originale | il remix di Antoine Clamaran) è l'ultimo progetto di Kelly Rowland e nonostante il videoclip presenti atmosfere estive questo immagino che sarà un ottimo disco per riscaldarsi questo inverno, Guetta si è dato da fare nella produzione del brano, ma questa volta i miei complimenti non vanno a lui.

Antoine Clamaran, il famoso deejay francese mi ha spiazzato più di quanto abbia fatto Guetta, con un remix più votato al genere trance che non a quello house minimal come ci aveva abituato (ricordate la canzone-basso "Decadence"?).
Così Clamaran prende Kelly Rowland e la mette nel frullatore assieme ad un bel po' di tastiere che ricordano la base di "Sexy chick", aggiunge un beat decisamente più house e meno tendente al commerciale. Quello che ne esce è davvero una canzone che agli alti volumi impressiona, forse non per l'originalità che si ferma ad un 7 ma per la fusione dei vari elementi, soprattutto in quel ritornello che parte sempre lasciandosi alle spalle la cassa per poi riprenderla qualche battuta dopo. Una sorta di respiro trattenuto per poi potersi liberare quando la base riparte con una certa decisione.
E poi ci sono quelle tastiere che partono quasi delicate per poi unirsi al resto dell'arrangiamento in una sorta di viaggio trance che non può che stupire.

Insomma, l'originale si distingue per un beat piuttosto dance, un video tutto-touch, in cui Kelly Rowland sembra intrappolata in un iPhone e si diletta nel mostrare il suo fisico scolpito, il remix invece lascia da parte tutti questi elementi per concentrarsi su un prodotto che seppur commerciale è ben indirizzato ai club, una rivisitazione decisamente ben fatta, che fa onore a questo DJ che apprezzo da sempre.
