Recensione | Beyoncé "Broken hearted girl (Alan Braxe remix)"

Alan Braxe fin dai tempi di "Intro/Running" è uno di quelli che mi è sempre piaciuto. Le sue sonorità calde, avvolgenti, tipico esempio di french touch di inzio 2000. Certo la musica house francese ne avrebbe fatta parecchia di strada ma Braxe rimane una pietra miliare per la musica.

In realtà dopo quel singolo (che potrebbe benissimo bastare ad un intenditore) Alan Braxe si è dedicato alla vita di remixer "on demand", remixando nel suo stile quello che gli venva offerto e che si voleva venissie ballato nei club.
Mi è capitato di dare un'ascoltata "Broken hearted girl (Alan Braxe remix)" (ascolta) della celeberrima Beyoncé Knowles. Certo il brano riproduce e sintetizza benissimo il Braxe-pensiero che non sembra essere cambiato (per fortuna) con il passare degli anni. Basso imponente, solitamente si avvale della collaborazione di bassisti come Fred Falke o Kris Menace (ricordate il capolavoro "Discopolis"?), ed un beat che forse inq uesta occasione fin troppo veloce il che fa subito notare come la voce di Beyoncé stia davvero stretta unita alla base che certo, non per colpa sua, poteva contare qualche battuta in meno.

Fatto sta che pur non essendo quel capolavoro come altri al quale questo remixer ci ha abituato potrebbe essere una buona occasione per esplorare nuovi remix e nuove forme di rimescolamento. Si perché i questo caso della canzone originale rimane ben poco, una volta accesos il frullatore il remixer non lo ferma finché non ne esce qualcosa di completamente diverso, con addirittura elementi funky come fiati e tastiere.

Vabbè, alla fine, oltre Beyoncé e le sue canzoni strappalacrime l'importante è riportare sempre l'attenzione su uno dei miei produttori house preferiti, che con il suo stile mi ha fatto avvicinare non pcoo alla musica house più melodica.
